Cyanotype Mural Project engages middle school students in an afterschool program to create a large-scale cyanotype mural using local plants. Students collect leaves, flowers, and other natural elements from their community to create sun-exposed prints on paper which were mounted on board and placed on permanent displayed in the their school. Through this hands-on process, they learn about photography, science, and artistic composition while exploring connections between nature and their local environment.
