In this series I explore the interplay between the organic and the geometric, the natural and the constructed. Each drawing emphasizes the exploration of biomorphic forms and patterns through the lens of abstraction. Efforts to deconstruct, reimagine, and rebuild forms are intuitive and involve an experimental dialogue with materials and visual elements including color, texture, line, and shape. The process involves a tension between spontaneity and structure via mixed media including acrylic, pastel, ink, graphite, spray paint, and collage on pastel board.
