P.S. Series
Progression Studies (P.S.) is a series of postcard-sized drawings that function as a visual postscript to my broader practice, an ongoing secondary conversation running alongside larger works. These studies capture immediate, intuitive responses to themes I am exploring, revealing candid and unresolved ideas before they are refined or completed.
Working small allows me to prioritize process over product and move deliberately into experimental territory. Combining graphite, pen, and acrylic ink with solvent transfers, I integrate complex layers into drawings that operate as fragments of a thematic dialogue, a reminder that real breakthroughs often occur in the margins of studio practice. This experimental approach is deeply connected to my work as an educator, where the curiosity of my advanced drawing students continuously inspires me to embrace new and intuitive ways of seeing.
